Abstract

The article offers a previously unpublished Syriac version of the Pseudo­Chrysostomic sermon On Fasting (CPG 4662). The introductory article discusses the milestones of the study of this text, the editions of its Greek original, and the Greek manuscripts that have preserved this monument. The main part of the article is the edition of the Syriac text and the English translation. The work was carried out within the framework of the project on the publication of unpublished sermons preserved in Syriac under the name of St John Chrysostom.
